O2 - Support your students

Second project output is dedicated to educators who work with young people.

Main group include academic teachers who conduct classes with first years students. However materials will be prepared so that to be used also by other teachers who work young people. During the few months of distance learning we have noticed (WSPA teachers, as well as academics from other universities cooperating with us) that not only students have problems with organization of their learning process. In new reality, where we need to conduct online classes many teachers do not know how to effectively support their students. They are used to giving support while face-to-face meetings in class, individual consultations etc. Now, these tools are not available, so many of academics do not know how to support students, or how to conduct classes in the way to support their self learning process.

Although the whole project was aimed at supporting young people in gaining organizational skills – participation of academics in this process is valuable. Proper way of giving support to young students will result in gaining better skills by them. So academics are also important element here.

Innovative within this will be fact that materials contain practical advices about ways and tools which may be used to support young people in self-organization of their learning process. So far, academics were concentrated on just passing knowledge, and also during organization of distance learning the main effort was put on equipping academics in proper tools to conduct classes and pass knowledge. Very little effort was on giving academics practical information about how to work with young people so that to help them not only gain knowledge but also practical skills helping them to organize their learning.

Materials are prepared in form of e-book, available in several languages so that to be accessible in many countries.

Materials were prepared by the international team of experts – from different backgrounds and working environments – so contain elements usable for academics from different countries.

Materials are accessible on the project website and websites of project partners.
