PROJECT RATIONALE

A significant part of the European Union countries is aging and this process is proceeding quite quickly. This phenomenon goes hand in hand with the weakening of family ties, which unfortunately means that younger generations are reluctant to take care of seniors. As a result, the demand for paid care for the elderly will increase in the coming years. Along with this demand, the requirements for people working as caregivers of seniors will also increase. Today's generation of seniors pays more and more attention to the way they are cared for and to the soft skills possessed by carers.
On the one hand, we want to make all interested parties aware of the importance of having appropriate soft skills by people who take care of seniors. In our publication, we want to emphasize the importance of having appropriate soft skills in the professionalism of carers. On the other hand, we want to enable carers and people who train them to develop these competences, which are undoubtedly the most important in the work of a carer.
We hope that our project will contribute to improving the situation on the market of care services for seniors.
